About us

I started 4Bit after spending more than 24 years delivering technology inside real organisations across government, large enterprise, startups, and modern workplaces where systems have to work under pressure, not just look good in a proposal.

Over that time, I repeatedly saw the same problem play out, especially in small and growing businesses: they were misrepresented, oversold, and over-engineered. Requirements were misunderstood or ignored, solutions were designed for scale they’d never need, and the result was technology that was expensive, complex, and poorly aligned to how the business actually operated.

4Bit exists to fix that.

Throughout my career, I’ve been accountable for the delivery of complex, ICT-enabled projects where outcomes, risk, and usability mattered. That experience shapes how I work today - clear conversations up front, pragmatic design, and solutions that fit the business rather than forcing the business to fit the technology.

I don’t believe in selling tools for the sake of it. I believe in right-sized solutions, sensible architecture, and technology decisions that stand up over time. My focus is always on what a business genuinely needs today, with a clear path to scale tomorrow, and not locking clients into unnecessary platforms or long-term contracts.

At 4Bit, I work with organisations that want technology to:

  • support the business, not slow it down

  • be secure, reliable, and easy to live with

  • grow sensibly, without unnecessary complexity or cost

Whether I’m delivering projects, providing advisory support, or acting as a trusted technology partner, my goal is simple: translate business needs into technology that works in the real world.

No buzzwords.
No over-engineering.
No surprises.

Just smart, considered IT - delivered by someone who’s been accountable for it before.
